The new start and end times allows us to:
• have shorter bus routes,
• provide many of our drivers to have more hours (more pay and benefits),
• use fewer buses,
• be more efficient (saving local tax payer dollars and attract and retain drivers).
In partnership with the Stokes County Health Department, Stokes County Schools would like to see how many parents are interested in having their children receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Please fill out the attached survey.
The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program helps families purchase food for children whose access to free or reduced-priced meals at school has been impacted by COVID-19 because students are learning virtually, outside of brick-and-mortar schools. P-EBT is a collaboration between the NC Department of Health and Human Services and the NC Department of Public Instruction.
Parents of children who will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2021 are requested to call the school in their attendance area to set up an appointment to register their child for kindergarten. Please visit our Kindergarten Registration webpage for information.
